Childhood Lead Prevention Program

Children can be affected by even very low levels of lead. The San Francisco Department of Public Health's Childhood Environmental Prevention Program is dedicated to eradicating lead  hazards in an effort to eliminate childhood lead poisoning. We have developed a comprehensive program aimed at combating this preventable disease. Our services include: education and outreach , case management, and environmental investigation for families with lead-poisoned children.

In addition, we collect and analyze all lead screening and case related data in San Francisco . Our goal is to promote healthy children, and advocate for housing free of lead hazards.
