As the governing and policy-making body of the Department of Public Health, the San Francisco Health Commission is mandated by City & County Charter to manage and control the City and County hospitals, to monitor and regulate emergency medical services, and all matters pertaining to the preservation, promotion and protection of the lives, health and mental health of San Francisco residents.

The San Francisco Health Commission will be voting on amendments to the Health Commission Rules of Order at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, 4:00 p.m., 101 Grove Street, Room 300.

Proposed amendments to the Rules and Regulations for the Health Commission

The Health Commission meetings are held, as a rule, the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Meeting dates* are:

• Meetings are held at 101 Grove Street, Room #300 (Auditorium on 3rd Floor), starting at 3:00 p.m.
• The Budget Committee meetings start at 2:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. Please check meeting agenda.
