Public Benefits for Asylees
Asylees, Refugees and Certified Victims of Trafficking in San Francisco are eligible for and may receive public assistance benefits and social services once they receive documentation or certification of their status. Health related benefits may include health assessments and physical examinations, access to medical interpreters, Refugee Medical Assistance or Medi-Cal (public health insurance) and other health services for eight months from the date asylum is granted. Social services may include Refugee Cash Assistance, employment services and other social services.
