Plan Check Procedure
for New or Remodeled Establishments

 

The Health Department collects a non-transferable deposit of $920.00 for checking plans, inspecting construction or remodeling, and for other permit-related activities. The check or money order must be deposited with the Environmental Health Section office, 1390 Market St, Suite 210, San Francisco, CA 94102. When the project is completed and the permit is issued, any remainder of the deposit will be refunded to you.

 

Requirements for Construction and Equipment

 

The Health Department is part of the Building Permit Process. For new construction and major remodeling, floor plans and specifications must be filed with the appropriate Department.
