Black Infant Health Improvement Program
The Black Infant Health Improvement Program provides the following services: advocacy for enhancing health and related services for the low-income, at-risk population through training of providers and staff; collaboration and coordination and advising service providers of special needs regarding access, cultural competence and special needs; maintenance of a community advisory board/task force; assistance to outreach efforts targeted at the population and implementation of BIH outreach and awareness activities; case finding and case management of high-risk pregnant and postpartum women, and education and referral services.
