Background:

The Initial Study for the SFGH Medical Helipad Environmental Impact Report has been prepared by Turnstone Consulting under the direction of the City and County of San Francisco Planning Department. Carol Roos, Planner from the Major Environmental Analysis Division, was assigned to replace Lisa Gibson as the Environmental Analyst during the Spring 2005.

A Notice of Availability of the Initial Study for the SFGH Helipad [case # 2003.1200E] was published on October 29, 2005 in the San Francisco Chronicle. Over 4800 notices were also sent to neighbors of SFGH, individuals, community and neighborhood groups, and organizations describing the project. A copy of the Initial Study may be downloaded from this site or be requested from Carol Roos [558-5981]. Copies of the Initial Study are also available at the SF Main Library, the Bayview, Potrero, Mission Branch Libraries and the SF General Hospital Library [Bldg 30].

Written comments on the Initial Study and the scope of the EIR were accepted by the SF Planning Department from October 29, 2005 to 5pm on November 30, 2005.
