Tuberculosis Clinic
Program Description
The San Francisco City and County Tuberculosis Control Section operates a centralized TB clinic that specializes in the education, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of active and latent TB infection.
Population Served
- All suspected and confirmed cases of tuberculosis MUST be reported to us within one working day by calling and/or faxing report to (415) 206-4565
- Residents of San Francisco: No eligibility, but should have a provider referral and/or call for further information
- Target at-risk-for-TB groups such as homeless, substance abusing patients, at risk for HIV or infected with HIV, contacts to active cases to TB, foreign born in the US within the last five years, providers of these groups
Other Information
There is no application, but a registration is necessary to initiate a TB Clinic medical chart.

A referral form or letter is required to receive screening and evaluation services at the TB clinic. If you do not have a referral and need a TB test done, please see above for alternative testing sites or see your regular health-care provider.
