Studies show that 70% of Sudden Cardiac Death victims could have been successfully revived if a defibrillator was nearby. The PAD Program's goal is to make defibrillators more readily accessible in case of emergency.

CASARC serves children and adolescents (up to age 18) who have been sexually or physically abused or who have witnessed severe violence. Forensic medical and crisis management services are available 24 hours a day.

DPH's dental services provide San Francisco with the essentials for maintaining oral hygiene -- strong teeth, healthy gums, and clean breath. DPH also offers clinics and prevention programs while working with research projects and educational outreach to keep San Francisco healthy.
