RFP 43-2018 The City and County of San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is seeking proposals for Pharmacy Services to Patients of Special Programs for Youth (SPY) Clinic. Juvenile Justice Center [formerly known as Youth Guidance Center] is the current youth detention facility of the City and County of San Francisco. At this facility, physical and mental health services are provided to detained clients seven days a week by SPY clinic staff. Each detained client undergoes a comprehensive assessment to identify health conditions for treatment and follow up while at this facility. Pharmaceuticals and pharmacist consulting services are needed on a 24 hour/7 day a week basis to meet the treatment needs of these clients. Since detained youths may be brought into the facility at unpredictable times, there is an on-going need for after hours, short-notice service for an outpatient non-acute population which can only be handled by a vendor. Access to pharmacy services (primarily after hours and weekends) will allow SPY to carry out the SFDPH's mission of providing health care to youths. SFDPH may expand to have more than one youth detention facility. This contract allows for the pharmacy services for any future additional facility sites.
