Q: What population do you serve?

A: Low income San Francisco residents and the providers of the agencies, organizations, and programs that serve them.

Q: What languages are spoken?

A: English, Spanish and Chinese.

Q: Is there a fee for the nutrition services you provide?

A: There are no fees.

Q: Do you work with schools?

A: We collaborate with parents, San Francisco Unified District staff, and students to support healthier foods and opportunities for physical activity. We can work with schools where 50% or more of the students receive free or reduced price lunch.

Q: What are some of your major accomplishments?

  • A: Major Accomplishments 2014 - 2015:
  • 30 Community Partners
  • Through Feeling Good Project Activities and Subcontractors (SFUSD; Children’s Council of SF; 18 Reasons-Cooking Matters; Chinese Faith-based Project at Chinatown Public Health Center:
  • Provided services in the SFUSD, reaching 32,000 children
  • Developed Chinese Body, Mind and Soul Toolkit
  • Provided Nutrition Education and Cooking Classes to 884 participants and Store Tours to 591 participants
  • Reached 3800 residents through health fairs and community events
  • Provided dozens of provider trainings in healthcare, school, early childhood and faith-based settings.
