Plan Review and approval by the Health Department is required for the new construction or remodeling of:
The Health Department is part of the Department of Building Inspections (DBI) permit process. For new construction and remodeling, submit a building permit application with construction floor plans and specifications to the DBI; be sure to include HEALTH as a routing station. Visit the SF Permit Center to apply for Building Permits.
Submit the Plan Check Application. The fee will be determined by our department.

Plan Review Fee Payments
Please note that the Health Department collects a plan review fee payment separate from the Building Department.
