Resolution:

Endorsing the Findings and Recommendations of the 1998 Director of Health's Annual Report On the Comprehensive Environmental Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, Resolution  #37-98, December 1, 1998

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Health is mandated by Health Code Article 26, Section 1609 to monitor City departments compliance with the Comprehensive Environmental Lead Poisoning Prevention Program; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Health is further mandated to submit to the Board of Supervisors a report detailing findings and recommendations to improve compliance with the program; and,

WHEREAS, the Health Commission has reviewed the report for 1998 and concurs with its findings and recommendations; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Health Commission of the City and County of San Francisco does hereby urge the Board of Supervisors to accept the 1998 Director of Health's Annual Report on the Comprehensive Lead Poisoning Prevention Program as the basis for ensuring improved compliance.
