Authorizing the Executive Administrator of San Francisco General Hospital to Apply for Licenses to Treat Patients With Mental Illnesses and Appoint an Administrator to Each of the Licensed Facilities

WHEREAS, State licensing agencies require evidence that the appropriate Governing Body has authorized the submission of an application for a license to treat patients with mental illness and that such Governing Body has given authority for the appointment of an administrator for the facility seeking licensure approval; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Health Commission of the City and County of San Francisco hereby authorizes the Executive Administrator of San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center to submit licensing applications as follows:

  1. To the California Department of Mental Health for 47 beds licensed as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center and for 14 beds for day treatment that will be in the Residential Treatment Facility, and
  2. To the California Department of Social Services for 27 beds licensed as a Residential Care Facility and 14 beds licensed as a Residential Treatment Facility, and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Health Commission of the City and County of San Francisco hereby authorizes the Executive Administrator of San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center to appoint an Administrator to each of these licensed facilities.
