Children’s Environmental Health Promotion Program

The Children's Environmental Health Promotion Program promotes conditions optimal for children's health and development in homes, childcare and school settings.

Principle Activities and Services

  • Provide information and education to community agencies, medical providers and interested groups on children's environmental health issues and concerns.
  • Enforce the San Francisco Health Code requiring housing free of lead hazards.
  • Provide case management support to families of children with lead exposure.
  • Support coalitions and communities advocating for policies supporting children's health and development.
  • Provide staff support to the Board of Supervisors Asthma Task Force.
