AB 75

Programs and Services

The following list briefly describes the AB 75 Project programs and services:

• California Healthcare for Indigents Hospital and Physician Program (CHIP)
  This program uses Prop 99 tobacco tax revenues, Emergency Medical Services Appropriation (EMSA) funds, and SB 12 Maddy Funds to reimburse participating hospital and physician providers for uncompensated health services provided to the medically indigent.
   
• Medically Indigent Care Reporting System (MICRS)
  The MICRS provides information based on summary data associated with the provision of indigent health care services by San Francisco hospital and physician providers.
   
• CHDP Follow-up Treatment Program (CHDPT)
  The program provides or pays for follow-up treatment services for children with health concerns identified in a Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) health-screening exam.
